LAUREN J. RIVERA (Maddie)- Before 2006, Lauren J. Rivera’s experience in acting did not include much more than a recurring role as one of the angels in the Nativity Story. Luckily, that took place in grammar school and was not some revival in her later years. It wasn’t until college that Lauren performed improv at a student union talent show. After graduation she starred in the short film Schizophrenia in which she portrayed 6 different characters. In the years that followed, Lauren made cameos in filmed skits of the Room 28 comedy troupe and tested her stage skills during a live performance. She has since starred in several short films and a Sony commercial, played the female lead role in Linked, a sci-fi/thriller web series, and The Work Jerks, a comedy web series. Returning to the web yet again, she is set to play the character of Maddie, a tomboyish female desperately trying to get in touch with her femininity in the new comedy web series unGirly.
JAIME FERNANDEZ (Joey)- Jaime Fernandez has been heavily involved in the New York City comedy circuit for the last ten years. At first a stand-up comedian, Jaime transitioned into acting in both live and filmed sketch comedy as a co-founder of the comedy troupe Room 28. He tested the waters of short and long form film in productions such as Sandman’s Box, Color, The Bag, Bodega Central, Arthouse Film, and The Shooter. He also starred in HBO Latino’s anecdote series Habla Ya! Parte 1 & 2. Also a voice over artist, Jaime voiced the character of Armando in Grand Theft Auto: The Ballad of Gay Tony. Not a stranger to the web series format, Jaime held the lead roles of Gabriel in the sci-fi/thriller Linked, J in the on-going comedy series PB&J, and James in The Work Jerks. This time around in unGirly, Jaime returns to the web in the form he knows best; a comedic character named Joey who is trying to help his girl roommate shed her tomboyishness and maybe score a girl of his own in the process.
BILLY YODER (Jonathan)- Billy, a native of Bucks County PA, was privy to a large imagination from an early age. Spending most of his time creating stories and slaying dragons, he also dreamt of moving to LA to become the first child Power Ranger. After years of performing in his high school theatre scene, he moved on to study Theatre at Columbia College in Chicago. While there, he starred in many productions and also delved into TV and Film. Still wanting to be a power ranger, he finally graduated with a B.F.A and moved to the Big Apple. Over the next 3 years living in NYC, he obtained his SAG Eligibility and also joined AFTRA. Having just left his Off-Broadway comedy When Joey Married Bobby, in which he played the adorable sidekick Danny, he decided to focus on his bigger passion: Comedic Web Series. He just wrapped shooting on the comedic web pilot 16th & 8th and is over joyed to be playing Jonathan in this hilarious web series unGirly. He couldnt have asked for a better cast, crew, and writers to be working with.
